What We've done so far:
Formed a Trust and gained charitable status.
Gained over 700 signatures on various petitions, 90%+ in support.
Engaged with Connect Cromwell to run a snap poll of which 90% supported it being developed by a Community Trust.
Met with and discussed the project with over 30 community groups, individuals and education providers.
Received letters of support from various groups and individuals, including (but not limited to): Cromwell and Districts Promotions Group, RSA, Central Otago Winegrowers Association, Cromwell and Districts Community Trust.
Presented at Community Board meetings and had further meetings with the Mayor.
Presented to Central Otago District Council.
Initiated consultation with Ngai Tahu.
Regular updates on Facebook and local newsletters.
Visited and met with various comparable project/facilities.
Gained support from local professional services, including Checketts McKay Law and Affleck O’Meara Accounting.
Set up working groups to allow interested locals to join groups that match their skill set.
