Here's just a small sampling of facilities that other NZ communities have as well as images from further afield.

The Piano, christchurch

After the earthquake, the Christchurch Music Centre was rendered unsafe and could not be used. In 2015 the The Piano Trust started construction of a new building.

The Piano offers facilities that are suitable for a range of events and activities – 325 seat concerts, workshops, lectures, dance, drama, tuition, films, receptions, and media launches. It also has office spaces for rent and reception areas.

Gore ST James Theatre

Now independently operated and owned by a local charitable trust, the theatre brings movies and live entertainment to the community of Gore and Districts. The main auditorium and backstage was renovated in 2008 and seats 450 people for movie screenings and live shows. A smaller auditorium seats 78 people for movies and conferences.

Kāpiti's Performing Arts Centre

This is a School and Community partnership to create a Performing Arts Centre. When the project is completed it will include a 330 seat theater, an orchestra pit, six rehearsal rooms - including a dance studio with a sprung floor - and a 200m2 black box theater. The foyer will provide room for exhibitions.
